Loving Myself

Sorry i didn't post much because all i could focus on about is this blog post only, which is about how i was bullied then being insecure; but now i'm recovering, gaining back my self-confidence and most important is learning on loving myself and how i look. What took this post so long because i have trouble on typing out my thought, arranging it and trying to make this post as positive as i can.

What made me want to do this blog is the inspiration that i will talk about later and i find that it's time to move on, put this in the past and be myself.

I have always been bullied since Primary School, mostly being called fat and ugly, that is when i started being insecure about my body, how fat i was and wishing how i could be skinny like Cris. Not only being bully but also being compared or told like my aunt told me to lose some of my arm fats off. When Secondary life came by, comments turn nastier ( like ' bitch ' , ' dog ' and more ) and to online bullying too.

I slowly become depress and started to binge eating or using food to comfort myself ( this made me gained more weight ), starve myself or go on strict diets and many more. Years past by and more problems added, it just get worse.

One day, I was watching Unpretty Rapstar; Season 2 and it's was on the semi finals episode. When i heard Sua song, it hits me really hard and i nearly cried because i was sad and depress that time, recovering from a problem. The song is mostly about people diss-ing her online, hating her but she told them back " love me or hate me, this is me ". Why this song hits me hard because it kind of relates to me too.

Now this song really stays close to my heart and always hear it when i'm down, not happy about myself or anything that is negative and this was my beginning of getting my confidence back and start love myself.

Recently i also have been watching lots of video like Loey Lane; hauls ( Seeing how confident she is, and didn't care what people say about her body ) and plus size models like Ashley Graham, Tess Holiday and others.  Those videos that i left down there, really helped boosted my confidence like it's ok to be curvy or your thigh touching each other and many others.

I'm proud being curvy, plus size or what's better is called " My Size ".
To be really honest, i can see like i'm not meant to be skinny because it's the genes.

November Favourites

IT'S DECEMBER. Omg, 1 more month till school reopens and 4-5 months till my N levels  * shock emoji *

Also here is my favourites from last month!

Last month i didn't do much as all my friends are busy working as they will be going overseas during December ( They didn't ask me to join. Recently one of them told me like because i'm always giving excuses, e.g. : i didn't remove my nail polish and etc, i'm like what... and i was like never mind ) So mostly what i did was working on my blogshop, watch tv shows online ( it's like Netflix but illegal website that has the shows for free ) and rot aka do nothing.

Actually i'm not emotional stable the past few months because of some friendship problems. I can't function well ( this is maybe why i was having second thought about working, because actually i went for interview for Coffee Bean but i turn it down in the end because i scare like i can't work well ), sleep in odd hours ( this is usual for me during the holidays ), not eating or just eating unhealthy. Being at home almost the whole month makes it like worse and depressing, i do feel like i actually have gained some weight? which sucks because i have been sitting around more then last year.

p/s : I'm ok now but still trying to get back on eating better

So don't expect much from this month sorry!

Fashion Favourites

- Flannels

To be honest a little, i actually really hate flannels as it was really mainstream and everyone is wearing it. As a fashion view, it's actually a statement / must have piece in your closet or wardrobe. So yup i kind of stop hating on it but in fact i have been wearing a lot actually, like an quick outwear ( Singapore weather is like having PMS, mix raining and sunny days ) and when i'm sending off peggy at the airport.

The flannel top is from Cotton On and founded it from the sales section. ( i button it all up to be a top ), paired with my cross necklace from Lovisa and the chain necklace from my supplier of my shop, and lastly my jacket from H&M as you guys know like airport is really cold.   

Actually the top is a guy shirt, and why do i have so much guys clothing? I admit that guy clothing are damn comfortable, and plus do need to worry that it could be mainstream within the girls~

- Morph8ne inspired cardigan hoodie

It's light weight, has that Japanese Kimono feel to it. 

It's just a really nice piece that goes well with anything~

Make Up Favourites

I don't really have any new make up product from last month as i said in the last favourites, make up in Singapore is really expensive like just a concealer cost SGD$15.90 = to a quite fancy meal too. ( For the americans, you will think it's quite cheap when currency exchange to USD but ya it's actually not )
I will try buying new products, like i was having thoughts of buying some eye shadow platte but I gotta get my new camera first and get my room done before i start my youtube channel~

Food Favourites

Most of the food listed down below are like comfort food*

- Fried Rice with Spaghetti aka tomato Sauce and Mince Pork/Sliced Chicken

I'm a person who don't really like plain rice, so i like to try out different ingredient aka explore.
Instead of putting like light and dark soya sauce, i put like spaghetti sauce.

I know it may sound disgusting ( it actually look like kimchi fried too ) but it's actually really delicious, even my mom say it HAHAH.
( I will do a blog on the recipe, for those people who want to try )

- Quaker : Oat Cookies ( Apple & Cinnamon )

This cookiess sooo good, it taste like gingerbread man cookies! Must try~
Warn, it could be addicting HAH

- Mini breakfast made by me

I will make grill cheese sandwich on a pan, and hmm so crispy on the outside and soft in the middle and scramble eggs for the sides~

Sorry for this short favourites and a little depressing one but i will make up to it by a new post up really soon about love myself.

How To Save Money While Shopping In Singapore?

Hey guys! I'm sorry for not updating this place for a while, apparently i can't find a job to work during the holidays. So i worked my ass off on my blogshop. ( Tell you guys more at the end! ) Ok back to topic, actually I did do this before but it was like a small portion in a post. It's kind of like a list but today i will go in depth on it!

I know all girls in Singapore are hard-core shopaholics especially people who are similar age as me, yup you~ Influenced by YouTube, tumblr and lots more! BUT, CLOTHING PRICES IN SINGAPORE IS F-ING EXPENSIVE ( "- -) you feel me?

I'm going tell you, how you can save money while shopping in Singapore!

High-End Fashion Brand like H&M, F21 and etc.

** This tricks are most reliable on H&M, Forever 21, Cotton On or Factorie because this are the shops i mostly shop ( Tricks and Tips are Base on REAL LIFE experience ) but you can use this for other branded shops too.

I know you have been in this spot, you found your favourite clothing item and you want to buy but have second thought like " what if this goings on Sale? "

TIP #1

If this favourite item of yours is from H&M, Cotton On or Factorie, most likely that item MIGHT go on sale in the few week. Before i answer why it's might, i want ask why is there sales in the first place? I guess most people don't know the reason. Sales is mostly about clearing stocks or clearing stocks of items that are past season thats why. Back to why might, if the item is sold out that means there's none; but if there's is, they will put it on Sales.

E.g :

- H&M Basic Jacket : $39.90 , i gotten mine at $15.
I wanted to buy at original price but i told myself to wait for sales and it did during Christmas Sales.

- H&M Baseball Jersey : $49.90 , i gotten mine at $25.
Same Story on the top.

BUT if this favourite item of yours is from Forever 21,  most likely that item WON'T go on sales. Here is my guessing of why: They have limited stocks, sold out fast or they switch their season item fast.

E.g : I want to buy Cris Small-Medium Sling Bag from F21. The week after or a few weeks, it's gone.
It keeps happening, like the item i want is gone fast . So i learned my lesson, that maybe buy the stuff that you want on spot?

I know after reading this you will be asking how did i find such great deals?

TIP #2

Firstly, note down the estimated time when sale will come. ( Like Seasons Sale, GSS and etc )

What most Clothing brand in Singapore do is Season Sale ( maybe ), Mid Year Sales and End of Year Sales , mostly is at the mid / end of the month.

Is there any other way to know? Just keep checking the stores! If you are studying near a mall like NEX, you most likely go there to eat lunch right? Go walk around and see some shops to digest your lunch HAHAH. Or You may ask the sales people when is the next sales.

Why i didn't include GSS in there because it's a 2 month* sales in Singapore,
it starts on the Around August to July.

TIP #3

Secondly, visit DIFFERENT outlet! By checking different outlet, you sometimes can find some special items on sales. Like how i found my basic jacket from H&M from VivoCity and the baseball jersey from NEX while i couldn't find any at ION.

TIP #4

Have you been in this place where you want to buy this item but you are scared like other shop could be selling replica of the item and at a cheaper price?
or
You only left a bit cash for an item, and want to buy the item in front of you but scared again there's another item you want while window shopping?

Firstly, put it down first and tell yourself " OK, i'm going to walk around first. If there nothing i like, i will come back for you! "

This is trick what me and cris do when we are making choices or debating. It helps actually.

TIP #5

If you are doing shopping in groups, try go to shops that offer 2-3 for a price!
( Like Factorie and Cotton On does )

Trick is you can split up the price if you like any of the clothes that are having that deal with you friend!

TIP #6

Save those really ugly clothes that you are unable to sell on carousell and donate to H&M or Uiqlo.

I donated to H&M before and i received a voucher, but you need to spend $80 and get $10 off. It's ok because you know there's a day you might spend quite a lot and then you are able to use the voucher~

Carousell

Carousell is a place where people sell like total brand new stuff impulse buy or pre-loved stuff.

Being a seller; myself, it's very annoying when someone nego or ask for trades on a Pre-Order item.
I think other sellers agree with me right?

So please, use this tips ONLY on pre-loved item or impulse buy ( if seller is willing )

TIP #1

Read Description before ask if could nego aka negotiable. Do it reasonably~
( don't push it too )

E.g : If the original price is $20 and the condition is like still near brand new and ask for $10? Do you think people want to sell to you? Of course no right HAHAH

Like actually the seller who i bought my Dr.Marten from was actually $120, it was pre-loved aka worned.
I ask if i could get it at $100 and he was like sure.  Some items are able to do big nego, just think when you use it.

TIP #2

If you have no money due to your past week buys and if you are like my friend who get bored easily after a few wears, ask for trades.

Of course, the item you are trading with must be about the same quality as what you have now but just different clothing. Nobody trades a used shirt with a brand new one right?

TIP #3

Some Shop has sale and they by Singapore Public Holidays like Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and etc.

So Keep a look out~

Other Ways like Flea Market, Expo and etc

Flea markets are like carousell but in real life. There's always a weekend flea at Lucky Plaza, items can be like $1 each. There's flea at Triple 1 at somerset, sometimes famous blogshop will be there. ( I don't think it's not nego-able unless there's pre-love store )

Expo don't really have clothing brand sale there but recently there was a The Body Shop mega sale at expo, and even Timberlands! If you are a stationary lover like me, there always big popular sale yearly for school, books and etc.

October Favorites!

Hey guys, sorry i didn't blog much as i wasn't into the mood to blog because some stuff happen and busy looking for a holiday job. I promise you that i will be posting more as my holidays started and yes that means i have more time to focus on what to blog!

Time is passing by so fast and its going to be the end of October already! Well that means it time for an October Favourites, YAY~ I have decided to do monthly favourites blog for you guys and also i won't so bad for not blogging regularly too.

DISCLAIMER : All are bought with my own money. I put the prices beside the items is not to bragging but is for people who might be interest in buying.

Make up Favourites
I don't really have lots of new make up favourite as i have been using the same make up products for the past year. Plus make up in Singapore is very expensive even if it's drugstore too. So yup, my recommendation for this month!

- SASA eyebrow pencil ( SGD$3.90? )

This eyebrow pencil is the bomb. its good and cheap!
It draws on the eyebrow smoothly and it can last quite long~
cons are there are only 2 colour, dark brown or black :(

Fashion Favourites

- Forever 21; Pebbled Faux Leather Satchel ( SGD$49 )

p/s: I did some colour change to this photo as the bag was originally in Camel. 

The metal/zips are in gold not in black.

I have always wanted a small-medium bag but very spacious like able to put my cardigan in without making my bag looking it going to explode soon. When i saw this bag, i was like " shit, the perfect bag that i always wanted ". It's able to fit A4 size too, so if i want to get some document on the way i can just slide it in.

- Forever 21;  Contemporary Oversized Longline Coat ( SGD 55 )

This is a coat where you can pair with mostly everything, from crop top with shorts or oversized shirts and even sports shoes. It's so comfortable coat i have and its not so thick too, so it's totally perfect for the Singapore 2 season weather.
p/s : Yes, it's really expensive for a coat but it's worth it.

- Nike B&W Roshe

I have been wearing this shoes a lot because it's comfortable and i don't want stain my ankle to much too. Doc martens aren't the most comfortable shoes to be honest, i only wear on special occasion these days.

Food Favourite

- Coffee Bean; Pure Vanilla

( without whipping cream )

I have been craving it for the past few weeks and drank twice in a week in this week.
It's so addicting, sponsor me Coffee Bean HAHAH ( its a joke )

- Salty Pretzel with Nutellaa

You guys must try out this combination! Its so goodd~
Break the pretzel into small pieces and dip into the goodness, it taste like sweet first then salty from the pretzel hmm. Pretzel recommendation is Rold Gold ( SGD 5 ), it's quite a big bag and can last at least a month.

- Breakfast

It's was the month of exams means we can leave school immediately after exams. I have been really craving for Macdonald Deluxe and KFC american twister, and it's just so delicious.

Music Favourites

Top on my list :  One Ok Rock // 35xxxv album

Their new album song is just ka-boom. Just what Taka said, it really has a variety of music in it, from emo, rock, pop, and others. It's true on what other fans say that is different from they usual do which is Japan Rock, but i still support as it their dream to debut in america and have an english album . Taka is a really good singer to be honest. Even though he not good in english, he still sings them really well and have the emotion in it. I never get sick of listening to their music on how much replays i did. If you like emo/rock/japanese music, go check them out.

American Show Favourites

- How to get away with murder ( Currently watching Season 2 )

I don't really know how to speak for this show but only to tell you to check out the first episode of the first season to see if you like it or not. If you like laws/ courts show or plot twisted shows, go for it.

- Code Black

This Medical drama follows the staff in the nation's busiest emergency room as they cope with a staggering influx of patients, which can outweigh their limited resources, resulting in a condition known as code black. If you are a person who like medical or interested in science, i do recommend as you see how they race to save their patients.

- Quantico

This show take you a journey of how people all over the world who wants to be an FBI, came to Quantico for training. There another story behind which is after their training, there a terrorist bomb at central park. It's really thrilling~ I have already known who started it, just seeing how Alex finds out. If you like fbi or crime solving, go check out.  

- iZombie ( currently watching Season 2 )

This is another show on crime solving but in a really unique way. Liv Moore, a medical resident attends a party that turns into a zombie feeding frenzy. She got infected and awaken as a zombie, she determined to stay as a human and taken the job at a coroner office to get brain of the corpses. When she eats their brains, she absorbs their memories and her personality changes. Learning it, she posing as a psychic and works with a detective to help solve their murders.

- Blindspot

This show is about this women with no memory of who she is or how she got there is discovered naked in New York's Times Square. FBI Agent Kurt Weller's name across her back quickly makes it obvious to whom the case should be assigned. Plot blows up as Agent Weller and his team discover that each intricate tattoo on Jane Doe's body is a crime to solve, creating a map that leads ever closer to the truth about her identity and mysteries yet to be revealed.

* p/s: All details of the show was google as i have short term memory and legit brain fart. ( I'm doing this at 2+ am and a little sleepy, so please understand T^T ) 

Anime Favorites

- Himouto! Umaru-chan

This anime about this girl have split personality when she is at home and outside, it's a really funny anime that you need to watch. Even Mariza is watching it too~

- K // K : Missing Kings movie // K : Return of Kings ( do watch them in order as they are connect )

- Diabolik Lovers // Diabolik Lovers More Blood

YouTube Channel?

I have some exciting news for you guys! I was thinking of starting my very own YouTube channel these past few months, and i have decided to start making videos~ YAY!

I will be making lookbook, hauls, vlogs and a lot more! ( do tweet me ideas like what kind of fashion video you want from me or if you are too shy, send me through ask.fm ) I will still be blogging so don't worry hahah!

Here is some bad news,

1. I'm trying to get a new camera as my current camera doesn't have a flip screen and also heavy for vlogging.
( Trying to get Samsung NX mini because it's portable, light weight and the lens are changeable ; yes. *boom* mind blown from a compact camera )

 ( i don't know which one to get; white or pink? *cry emoji* )

2. My macbook don't have iMovie.

3. I'm staying in the same room with my mom now, because my room gotten rented out due to some issue. The room is quite cramp, it's really hard to film a nice video or the perfect style of video i want.

So this are the estimated dates when i can start up loading : Dec, 2015, June, 2016 or Dec, 2016.

I'm most likely choosing Dec, 2016 because I have finished my N level's ( I will have lots of time to do videos and blog ), mostly likely i will have my camera and editing software ready and my room back together with a makeover? ( because my room colour is quite a bright pastel pink which is of course not suit for videos, trying to change to light pink/purple - white )

I know you guys will be complaining now, like why i announce so early? There might be a possibility that i will post videos in Dec 2015 because my friend, Cris has a DSLR. I can try borrow from her and do the videos!

So now, how am i going to solve those problem that are up there?

Mostly the main problem is Money. For the camera, software and makeover for my room.
I have calculated near how much i need :

Camera - $200~$500
iMovie - $18.98
Paint - $25~$50
Room Decoration - $10~$200 ( Mirror, bed & bed stand, light )
= $400~$800

I can try get the camera as a birthday present, which cuts down to around $100~$400. I will be back working in my blogshop which is grungenaple_ on carousell during my December holidays  ( I'm kind of MIA now because exams are coming soon ) to get more cash and saving up too.

During this 'waiting' period, i will be thinking of video and blog ideas.
So do look forward to all of the new stuff that are coming ahead!
