I started off selling clothes that i no longer wear, to make some extra pocket money. While selling off those clothes, i was scrolling through tumblr, weheartit and other social media and i really love those clothes that was wore on tumblr girls or in those photos. I started searching for it, but people are selling for really high price. Like you know Singapore prices are rising, and nowadays it's hard to find cheap and nice clothes. So i decided to open a shop that sell trend of clothing !
i started my shop on carousell, one of Singapore most downloaded apps by teenagers? Where you can either buy brand new or 2nd hands stuff from clothing, shoe,bags and many more.
I start off by looking for suppliers, I try my best to find those smiliar tumblr clothing that are in photos and i have found a few shop but my aim was to find the cheapest but yet good quality. I started buying 1-2 clothing from different shop to check quality, and if it is good. I will start posting online. I tried my best to keep prices as low as pos , Like clothes $10-$20, Jacket $20-$45 ( inculding leather jacket ) . Profits i earn is only $2-$15 ?
[ Half of the profits is given to my mom, because one of the reason that i open is to help the finicals too ]
I try my best to find those tumblr clothing that are in photos.
It's hard to maintain as i am the only one handling the shop and replying customer questions, my mom usually help me handle the payment checks and ordering the goods. Why it's hard is because you are fighting with other shops too, some may have the same stuff at you but maybe at a lower price?
I feel like opening the store on instagram too. Firstly, i felt it's easier to earn customers as theres instashop ( blogshop on instagram ) do shoutouts. Secondly, maybe i try to ship international? ( Because currently we only ship within Singapore only ) will try asking my mom~
